We were contracted to do a renovation project on this old guest house in Newquay. The building is now used as a family home, hence the old layout as a guest-house not working anymore for the needs of their users.
Due to the location of the property, at a busy junction between Mount Wise and St George’s Rd – Mount Wise is one of the main roads in Newquay – it is constantly seen by both pedestrians and drivers. This was the main worry of our client, since the current state of the property, especially its back elevation, is not the greatest!
We proposed a full renovation of the back elevation, changing the old, derelict balconies for a more contemporary style ones, that will improve the street view of one of the main access points to Newquay.
A re-design of the internal layout was also carried out, to update the use of the house to the needs of their current users.
Planning Permission has been granted for this proposal, and we are currently assisting the clients with the technical side of the project.
