Scope of work: Concept Design, Developed Design
Size: 40 m2
This is one of those project that any architect would think of as a little gem, an interesting little challenge from a design point of view. Since the very first meeting, the owners of The Blue Door (one of most successful Newquay’s B&B) Shawn and Lou showed their enthusiasm and interest for simple, clever and modern design.
In order to upgrade their business, they wanted to convert an existing, tiny old garage block at the back of their courtyard into a self-contained living unit that would be incorporated to the B&B. With very limited space, we came across with this little design which the clients loved, where everything was considered, from external finishes to the design of the furniture.
Working together with Planning Consultant James Evans, at https://www.evansplanning.co.uk/, Planning Permission was granted for this project, which is currently about to start to get build.
